1.Schedule yearly check-ups with your primary health care provider. This allows you to discuss any urrent health concerns and to receive a basic examination.
2.Talk to your health care provider about screening tests such as a lipid profile if you have a family history of high cholesterol or a blood glucose test if you have a family history of diabetes.
3.Brush your teeth at least twice a day, and floss daily. Schedule appointments with your dentist every 6 months for a check – up and teeth cleaning
4.Always wear your seatbelt both when driving and when riding in another vehicle as a passenger
5.Put on a helmet when you ride a bike
6.Install a working smoke detector on every level of your home and inside bedrooms. Change the batteries at least yearly
7.Use sunscreen.Make sure your every day lotion and facial cream contain protection.
8.Check inside yourself about your relationships… Are they healthy? Are you being hurt physically or
emotionally? Do they make you happy?
9.Get your flu shot.The nominal cost outweighs a week spent in bed with a fever and chills!
